Amanda Shefler

Hello, my name is Amanda Shefler. I am a senior at Notre Dame and am studying psychology.
My interest in the lab began with my curiosity in what factors affect the development of children.
My sister is special needs so growing up with her has sparked my interest in development. I
volunteer frequently through Mercy Works and have always been committed to community
service and especially helping those in poverty. This lab is actively working to discover
preventive factors for those living in poverty and ways in which children can still thrive in
situations of inequality. In my free time I love to hike and snowboard.
