Herjok Agot

Biography

Herjok Panther Deng Agot is a senior from Bor, South Sudan, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior at the University of Notre Dame, with a minor in Education, Schooling, and Society. He is on a pre-med track, and also is very interested in education. Panther has a strong commitment to addressing mental health challenges in his home country. He is particularly passionate about raising awareness about trauma and untreated mental disorders in South Sudan. This brought him to the CARE Lab, to explore how family circumstances and experiences affect and shape people psychologically from an early age into adulthood. Outside of the classroom, he likes watching TV shows, anime, and plays sports such as basketball, volleyball and sometimes runs.
